OTHER TEACHER MOBILITIES

Erasmus+ | EU programme for education, training, youth and sport

ERASMUS+ TEACHER MOBILITY PROJECTS 2020-21 WITH THE MEDIUM-GRADUATE CONSORTIUM COORDINATED BY CIFP LA LABORAL

Last year we applied for 3 mobilities for teachers of the CIFP Avilés within the project we presented in the Consorcio de Grado Medio, mobilities that due to the pandemic caused by the Covid-19 could not be executed, so we asked for an extension of this project to see if this year they can be executed.

The project is designed so that teachers who teach in Intermediate Level can carry out Training Mobility and/or teaching through stays and training visits in companies and educational centres, and that this experience has a positive impact on the teaching given by the teacher who carries out the mobility and among the teaching staff of CIFP Avilés. This is because the Project is a Vocational Training Project (KA102/KA116) and not a Higher Education Project (KA103), which is where projects related to Higher Level Cycles are included, comparable to the first years of university level in most European education systems.

PROJECT: Asturias CIFP VET Mobilities

Project NEEDS:

– Learning and improving new methodological approaches in order to provide better quality education.

– Recognition and experience of other ways of living and working and other cultures different from one’s own and equally enriching.

– Awareness of a European feeling that contributes to the modernisation and internationalisation of the education system.

– Establish links and partnerships with other European VET centres or companies.

– Improvement of participants’ linguistic competence.

Project OBJECTIVES:

To acquire and improve basic and transversal professional competences and skills, such as entrepreneurship, digital competence and multilingualism that update and reinforce the professional profile of our teachers in order to offer modern and quality teaching using innovative and student-centred pedagogical strategies.

– To increase participants’ language skills and promote the broad linguistic diversity and cultural awareness of the EU.

– Add European added value to your CV by obtaining the training certificate.

-To develop basic social, interpersonal and transversal competences: autonomy, responsibility, initiative, respect for interculturality….

-To know the different forms of learning and teaching and the organisation of the world of education and work in the different EU states.

-Encourage educational and training institutions to improve Quality, Excellence in Innovation and Internationalisation.

-To promote the emergence and awakening of a European consciousness in the area of lifelong learning in order to complement policy reforms at national level and to contribute to the modernisation of education systems.

Project ACTIVITIES:

Teacher mobility for:

a) Carrying out job-shadowing training

(b) or work placement in a company or in a vocational training establishment

(c) or undertake periods of teaching in a VET institution

(d) or a combination of any of the above

Also taking the opportunity to establish future links with these European VET institutions and/or companies so that they can be future host partners for future mobility projects.

Duration of the project: 1 September 2020 to 20 September 2021

Planned mobilities:

  • Staff mobilities for teaching and/or training: 3
  • Mobility of trainees for training: 20

Host countries for mobilities: The Grant covers expenses for Group 2 Countries:

The programme countries are divided into the following three groups:

Group 1: Programme countries with higher cost of living: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Sweden, United Kingdom, Liechtenstein, Norway

Group 2: Programme countries with average costs of living: Austria, Belgium, Germany, France, Italy, Greece, Spain, Cyprus, Netherlands, Malta, Portugal

Group 3: Programme countries with lower living costs: Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Republic of North Macedonia, Turkey.

If someone chooses a country from group 1, he/she must assume the costs that the grant does not cover; and if someone chooses a country from group 3, the grant will be readjusted to match what is allocated to this group, normally as initially 80% of the grant is given and at the end of the mobility the remaining 20%, what is done is to readjust with this 20%.

Mobility period: March, April, May, June, June, July and the first 12 days of September (these last two months only if the conditions explained two paragraphs below are met) of 2021.

Duration of the Mobility: 5 school days of stay at the destination (Monday to Friday), plus one day of travel to and from the destination, but they cannot be school days.

GENERAL PROFESSIONAL PROFILE: TEACHERS OF CIFP AVILÉS(EXCEPT THOSE OF THE FAMILIES OF TMV, IMA AND FME because they already opt for mobilities through the specific Consortium with APAGA) who teach in some cycle of GRADO MEDIO, or failing that, that their Department and in their Speciality teaches in GRADO MEDIO although this course is not the case of the applicant. If there are several applications, preference will be given to teachers with a permanent post who teach in intermediate level over the rest.

As it is a School Project, the participating teachers must have a permanent position in the school and teachers with a permanent position during the whole academic year 2020-21 could also apply for it both when applying for the project and at the moment of carrying out the mobility, so someone who leaves on 30 June will not be able to do mobility either in July or in September, and someone who leaves on 31 August or the first days of September will not be able to do mobility in September. And someone who is doing a temporary replacement will not be able to participate.

GRANT: The travel and travel grant allocation would be those corresponding to the countries listed in group 2, and would therefore be given:

– 275€ for travel (round trip, and insurance can be included) (80% = 220€). Invoices, flight tickets,… and if applicable travel insurance must be kept. If you spend more than 275€ you assume it; and if you spend less than 275€ it is deducted from the final 20%.

– 728€ per diem (80% = 582,4€). There is no need to justify anything, although if you have invoices you can keep them.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS OF INTEREST: FRIDAY 29 JANUARY 2021 (With the Director’s Permission).

Interested persons must submit their application to the European Programmes Coordinators at CIFP Avilés (you can leave it at the Concierge Office in the name of Paloma Hortal from the Language Department or scan/photo and send it by email: erasmuscifpaviles@gmail.com) from the moment you have the personal project until Friday 29th January 2021.

To do so, please fill in the application form which you can download HERE or request it by mail and send it to: erasmuscifpaviles@gmail.com

Application Form GM-KA116 2020-21

PERMITS: VERY IMPORTANT!!!!

It is compulsory to have the permission of the Director of the Centre, who will be asked for permission to participate PRIOR TO SUBMITTING THE APPLICATION (which will be consulted with him/her), guaranteeing that the corresponding teaching hours will be covered during the absence. Once selected and one month before the mobility, the Official Permission to be absent from work must be requested.

In order to cover the teaching timetable when you are absent, you must have the help of the department or colleagues from the department, so you must provide a written document signed by the parties involved stating this fact, signed by the interested party and either by the teachers who undertake to cover for you or, if it is the department in general who covers for you, the head of department will sign it. It shall be presented to the Director when asked for permission to go on mobility.

For those of you who teach in the 2nd year of the cycle, please note that your teaching load will probably be reduced from April onwards, when students start the FCTs.

DOCUMENTATION TO BE SUBMITTED TOGETHER WITH THE APPLICATION FORM:

PERSONAL PROJECT: THIS DOCUMENT IS MANDATORY: Taking into account the needs and objectives mentioned above, the interested party will look for a company and/or VET centre where he/she will carry out the activity of his/her choice from those described above (Training, internship or teaching, or a combination) and will design a plan of activities to be carried out during the 5 days of his/her stay, which must be agreed with the host company / VET centre.

– Written commitment by all parties involved if the department or someone in the department undertakes to cover the applicant’s teaching load. This may be drawn up by the Head of Department.

– Copy of the certificates accrediting knowledge of languages.

SELECTION CRITERIA of the CIFP AVILÉS Staff: If in doubt, original certificates would be requested.

– Seniority in the Corps as a Career Civil Servant / Interim= 1.0 point/year of service

– For seniority in the centre with definitive assignment: 1.5 point / year in the centre.

As Interim = 0.5 points / year at the centre

– For A1- A2 level of language proficiency = 0.5 points for each level in each language

– For B1 level of language proficiency = 1.0 point for each level and in each language

– For B2 level of language proficiency = 1.5 points for each level and in each language

– For C1-C2 level of language proficiency = 2.0 points for each level and in each language

IMPORTANTIf you choose a destination country other than Italy, France or Portugal, a MINIMUM DEMONSTRABLE LANGUAGE LEVEL B2 will be REQUIRED, either in the language of the destination country or in English.

Full priority will be given to teachers with a permanent post at the centre who teach at Intermediate Level, with those at Higher Level being placed on the reserve list, provided that their department and speciality teaches modules at Intermediate Level, even if the applicant is not teaching at that level this academic year.

Teachers who have not participated in previous mobility calls will have Total Priority, and those who have participated in previous mobility calls will be placed on a second reserve list, and within this list, those who have participated the least will have priority over the rest, the participants being ranked according to their number of participations in Erasmus+ projects.

In the event of a tie, given that it is a school project that should have a positive impact on the school, the teachers permanently assigned to the school will always have priority over the rest.

GENERAL QUESTIONSThe beneficiary of a mobility grant receives 80% of the total amount of the grant, including the travel allowance, before the mobility. At the end of the mobility and after having filled in and handed in the compulsory reports, and once the S.E.P.I.E. in Madrid approves the project and pays the money to the Coordinator (CIFP La Laboral), the remaining 20% is paid (the deadline for this payment is not known, it is usually in September/October although it varies every year).

It should be borne in mind that the amount of the scholarship is a grant and that it is likely that, depending on the destination, it will not cover the activity 100%, so it is possible that the beneficiaries will have to put some money out of their own pocket and even advance money (for example, for the purchase of flights, …..).

The participant will receive all the assistance that can be offered to organise the Mobility, and must apply for the Permit Application to his/her workplace well in advance.

If you are selected, you must obtain a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) and you must provide the following documents:

– Photocopy of ID card

– Certification of the bank account to make the financial payments (copy of the account number with IBAN).

At the end of the Mobility, the participant undertakes to complete and hand in:

An Online Report, for which you will receive assistance, if necessary.

– And you will make a diary of the visit with the activities carried out and with photos of the companies/centres, a Powerpoint presentation will be suggested, which will be given to the Erasmus+ Coordinators of CIFP Avilés for its dissemination, as this point is of vital importance in the projects subsidised by Erasmus+.

In addition, both documents are necessary for the approval of the project report and to be able to receive the remaining 20% of the grant.

It is also very important that, during the visits, the teaching staff should check if the host partners could be feasible to host our students to do the FCTs with them, of which the coordinators of CIFP Avilés will be informed.

As recognition of the Mobility, the participant will receive:

– Certificate of Attendance issued by the host partner.
