Looking for a Company

As you already know, CIFP Avilés does not have any agreement, for the moment, with European institutions where students can do the internships. Among the Selection Criteria that will be used in the selection process of Erasmus+ students, providing a Host Company that admits you for the internship (a written statement is enough) will be considered in the section of Interest and Degree of maturity with 10 points, so you should try to provide it to have more scoring options.

You can try to think of a family member or acquaintance or acquaintance of an acquaintance who is working or has worked abroad, and also ask your teachers to see if they know of a company or someone in it who could serve as a link so you can try to consult the possibility of being admitted as an internship student. Or perhaps through the human resources of the international companies, with headquarters in Europe, that we have in the area, just as they welcome you here, they could open up options abroad.

If not, the centre has a list of what are called intermediary companies, which will manage EVERYTHING for you, including documentation, but they charge you for this, some more than others, and not exactly a cheap price. If you do not provide a company, we will check the viability of using them. I will provide you with them in due course so that you can evaluate and choose with better criteria.

When looking for a company, it is important that you ask the company if they will accept you for a 60-day placement, and that they know that you are an Erasmus+ Vocational Training student. You should also emphasise in your application that you are not being paid for the placement and that you have accident and liability insurance for the work placement.

So that you do not seem unknown or that you come out of nowhere to the company, CIFP Aviles has prepared a document that would be convenient to use when contacting the company and that is a presentation of CIFP Aviles in English, click on the link to download it, otherwise ask for it by e-mail: CIFP Aviles-Description-English.

The SEPIE considers companies to be those defined in point 14 of the following document: FAQS where you can also find extra information, although much of it is already available in the Information Dossier.

Terms to use in this search: “Internship, traineeship” or “Student Mobility Placement“.

The SEPIE has also created a couple of spaces for company search, click here to see them: Internships

Another way of searching would be through these portals, keep an eye on the type of free information they offer, and remember to search according to your profile. I leave you an Internship Cover Letter Model in the search for a company and that you should attach to your CV. Europass CV in English

You may wish to refer in English to the modules included in your training cycle, with respect to the didactic objectives that are achieved in each of them, so it would be convenient to select and download the document that corresponds to your cycle through the following link SUPLEMENT EUROPASS(LOE LOGSE ) so that you can attach it to your Europass CV.
