My name is Celso Meana Canal and I am a teacher in the Electricity/Electronics Department of the CIFP of Avilés. In 2013 I participated in an ERASMUS project for teachers. During the month of May of that year (2012/2013), I spent three weeks in Dublin. Without a doubt, it was an incredible experience that reaffirmed my conviction to learn English and to put our students on the path of Workplace Training through an ERASMUS project.

During those three intense weeks, I collaborated with an occupational centre for unemployed Irish people, I visited companies looking for “Partners” who were willing to host trainees from our centre. I also visited companies in the telecommunications sector, such as a computer recycling company. I took the opportunity to visit the University of Dublin, Trinity College and, of course, to do as much sightseeing and cultural visits as possible.

During my stay in the city, I stayed at the home of two teachers, so I was able to visit their school and exchange educational experiences with primary and secondary school teachers.

It was therefore an integral experience of which I have fond memories and which I would, of course, recommend to all students and teachers at our school.
