The\u00a0CIFP Avil\u00e9s<\/strong>\u00a0is placed in Avil\u00e9s, an important industrial area within Asturias, an autonomous region from northern Spain with around 1,081,000 inhabitants. Avil\u00e9s area has around 83,000 inhabitants.<\/p>\r\n

The Higher Education Vocational Training School Avil\u00e9s offers medium and high level two-year courses, which are called \u201cciclos formativos\u201d in Spanish, and ,besides, we offer special apprentice courses for teenagers to be able to have access to vocational training studies at medium level , and so help them to integrate back into the educative system again. As an example, this year we have offered a total of 30 medium and high level courses in their 2 years, first and second.There are around 1,700 students enrolled at our VET School.<\/p>\r\n

We have been granted an Erasmus Charter since 2011 and we have just renewed it and been granted the NEW ERASMUS CHARTER<\/a> for the period 2021-2027.<\/p>\r\n

At present we are inside a Consortium together with other 6 Higher Education VET Schools from Asturias and have applied for the Consortium Accreditation.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

There are studies in 9 vocational fields:<\/p>\r\n

9 VOCATIONAL FIELDS AT OUR HIGHER EDUCATION VOCATIONAL TRAINING SCHOOL<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

\u00a0Our school has day and evening school shifts, and distance learning.<\/p>\r\n

\u00a0We have studies for getting qualifications as:\u00a0Technician in\u2026 or\u00a0\u00a0Higher Technician in ; and Initial Vocational\u00a0ones for Apprentices.<\/p>\r\n

\u00a0At the moment, there are 2 educative laws running in parallel, LOGSE and LOE, but LOGSE one is about \u00a0to disappear soon.<\/p>\r\n
